1. Tate Britain has an exhibition of Lowry’s paintings. What a treat to see so many at once and to be able to be so close to them. I grew up with a signed print which I inherited and love the figures and the detail. It is striking to observe the lives of people displayed in all their sadnesses and poverty, the evictions, the hospital scenes and the working lives and, in contrast, the occasional joys of fair days and of VE celebrations.
2. These beautiful white roses were in a garden as we walked from the tube to the Tate.
3. Grand-baby T loves the trampoline.

Lowry’s attention to the tiniest detail makes him a great favourite; you can always find something you missed before.

Trampolines are fun. It’s amazing what a workout they give in only a few minutes of what seems like not doing much.
