First Frost, Clouds and A Baby Hoodie

11 Dec

1   Our first heavy frost rimed all the leaves this morning so that even the weed leaves looked beautiful.Delicate frost

2   The early morning clouds were so delicately coloured in soft pink and shades of blue with a touch of threatening grey.

3   I’ve finished the baby hoodie for next April’s arrival. This one should fit just as the Autumn comes in about September time. I’m stocking up on various sizes!  These colourful buttons used to be on cardigans worn by the expectant Mum and her twin brother when they were very little. The elephants were his and the ladybirds, hers.

The colors of the frosted green leaves and the blueish gray pink clouds are the colors of the hoodies. Did you plan it that way. 🙂

No! That was serendipity and it took you to notice. It’s rather lovely isn’t it and entirely unplanned. Thank you for your lovely observation 🙂

Hello Sally! 🙂 hiatus…. And still three things a day strike you with their beauty. Wow. That’s just beautiful!!

The frost on the plants though, I can imagine in the early dawn as it chills the leaves, develops frost, encases them. I wonder how the plant feels. I mean, we’d “freeze to death”, but it’s a daily thing, this chilling of the plant. It’s curious, really, that it survives it regularly. I just hate being cold!

It’s always so lovely to hear from you and to know that you are enjoying my three things.
It is amazing that so many plants survive the frosts but my Crinodendron doesn’t like the frost at all and spends these winter months encased in fleece! That’s really what I would like too! Today has been bitterly cold, but as you’ll see soon (I’m working on my post right now) I’ve been having a lovely day!

You must be at the start of your day as ours is drawing to a close. May it be a beautiful one for you 🙂

The skies are incredible at the moment, aren’t they? Fantastic clouds too, and amazing sunsets…

Your photos are great – as always. And I love the hoodie. I have to get knitting for the next new mini cousin that’s coming.

I love knitting mini things. It’s much harder when they get bigger! Have fun with yours for the mini cousin! 🙂

The frost pics are lovely. It stayed like that all day here because the sun never got through and we had freezing fog. It looks like your day was much nicer!
