Lasagne, Love-in-a Mist and Clematis

I’ve made a Chicken and Sweetcorn Lasagne and frozen it away in portions for using in the Autumn when the lovely Mr S will be out of action having his second new knee.

I love the Love-in-a-Mist flowers, so delicate and pretty, colours ranging through rich blue to this pale pink and white.

This late flowering Clematis is particularly lovely from underneath.

Good Advice, Porthtowan and Love-in-a-Mist

1   A friend sent me this advice and it pleases me. I’ve seen a sunrise, looked at the stars, have the right kind of coffee table and look for the small beautiful things every day but I’m not sure about the trampoline! I am inspired by a fellow blogger to get a pogo stick so that could substitute!

2   It has been another glorious day today.  The Grand-kids love the freedom of the sands at Porthtowan which is a beautiful beach and only 10 minutes from home.

3   The Love-in-a-Mist is at last in flower. It’s one of my favourites, delicate and beautiful and the seed head later is also a delight.

Love-in-the-Mist, Heather Tree and A Supper Tray

1   I love Nigella (aka Love-in-the-mist) flowers and seeds. The seeds feed the gold finches and they’ve been at the feeder today, the flowers themselves are delicate and beautiful and the seed pods are gorgeous! When I do my Wedding Ceremonies, I give the couple a packet of these as their wedding present!

2   It’s been a quiet day today, looking after Mr S who has had an attack of Meniere’s disease so this next photo is from our walk the other day at Botallack. This heather pleased me, growing very close to the ground and resembling a tree in its formation. It’s only about 25cms across, smaller than it appears in the photo.
