After a lazy breakfast, we put the bird in the oven and went off to the beach at Porthtowan. It was a grey morning and the waves were wild but we were lucky enough to miss the showers completely and thoroughly enjoyed watching lots of dogs having great fun racing about. We only have two of the family here so far but have Skyped (to wish our second daughter a Happy Birthday as well as Happy Christmas) and talked on the telephone with the others. Seven more arrive tomorrow.
