Six on Saturday – On Sunday

A day late as I was busy all day yesterday hearing about the climate emergency and how we can each be doing our bit.
July is turning out to be a month of abundance, many more blooms that I remember from last year. Perhaps I have been more vigilant about feeding and certainly the sun and rain mix has been beneficial.

2.  Alium with bees

3.   Trailing Begonia called Million Kisses. We had these in all the chimneys and pots the year of our Golden Wedding.

4   Clematis and Dahlia in Suffragette colours – in the back garden, not in my Suffragette garden in the front.

6.  Poppy Seeds to save.  There have been dozens of Poppies, all from seed saved last year and we have labelled the ones we like the best for harvesting this year.

Golden Flowers for our Golden Anniversary

We have been planting carefully all this year with the aim of having the garden full of golden flowers for our Golden Wedding Anniversary. We pretty much achieved that and here they are. We hope they are still in flower for our party with friends next week.

Playing, Present and Garden Treasures

The bouncy ball in our garden is much appreciated by the LiveWires and is anticipated for much of the journey here. I love how her curls look like a lion’s mane as she bounces!

LiveWire no 4 presented me with a bunch of daisies, collected en route, which revived by tea time, given a good long drink.

B brought her garden trophies in to show us – a spiky poppy and a yellow flower which she was pleased to hear was a Begonia called Million Kisses! We have lots of them in the garden this year to make golden splashes all over the place to mark our Golden Wedding later this Summer.
