Ferry to St Mawes to Sing

07 Aug

It was late when I arrived home last night so here is a small gallery showing our trip from Falmouth to St Mawes to sing and the ferry ride back again. Click on any photo for the caption and if you like, listen to us singing on the ferry on our way home. It’s ‘Cornwall, My Home” written by Harry Glasson and it’s really the new Cornish anthem.

A lovely delicate sunset, the sky has been very pretty this week in pink. I have a big problem with the Cornish ‘anthem’. The tune is so much like the song I used to know as a child about meatballs rolling off the table and onto the floor (On Top of Spaghetti).

That’s what I was thinking about the tune too!

Ha,ha! I’m going to have to be very careful next time we sing it now that that thought has been put in my head! 🙂

I’ve never thought that before, Jude, but now that you’ve suggested it I can’t get it out of my head. It might be tricky next time we sing it! We’ll be at the Eco Park in Porthtowan again on the evening of August 26th . I shall have to be very careful. 🙂 🙂
