It has been a beautiful day in so many ways. The sun shone and Daughter no 1 visited for the first time in a very long time. We cooked the frozen pasties that she had ordered some days ago and we ate them in the sun and Spring-filled garden. They were truly scrumptious.
The warmth brought a butterfly to our garden.
The Tulips are looking gorgeous.

Tried to order the pasties, but they don’t ship to the U.S. Dang!

That’s a shame. We’ll make sure we have some in when you next visit. 🙂

Good food puts me in a good mood . . . especially when enjoyed with good company.
Glad they went down a treat.

Absolutely. They were the best pasties I’d ever had! It was pleasing to be able to cook them from frozen at home and so the pastry was amazing, not having sat around. M left us two for later which was very lovely of her. 🙂

Going back to our exchange about tulips, some of mine that should be tall have come up very short too! Not quite sure why though some of the bulbs had gone a bit mouldy so that could explain it. Or maybe the compost. Other containers with older bulbs in seem fine!

That’s very interesting. Those ones have died already too but the rest of the pot is lovely, tall and colourful with some buds still to open. I can’t remember the state of the bulbs, whether some were old looking! 🙂
