I don’t know what these berries are that are in our front garden but I love the colour.
We went for lunch and a walk today at Godrevy where the beach was beautiful as always.
It was our lovely neighbour’s birthday a couple of weeks ago and tonight was the first opportunity to have her round for a birthday dinner. I made a Blackberry and Apple Swiss Roll for her birthday cake. It tasted wonderful!

Thanks to a friend I have identified the berries – Billardiera longiflora and it grows in Australia!
An evergreen spreading vine with pale yellow or purplish solitary bell shaped pendant flowers appearing from spring to summer. Flowers are followed by purple “apple” shaped berry.
An erect supple stem and dark green narrowly elliptical leaves 5cm long.
An ornamental plant that is native to the cool moist forests of south-eastern Australia.
Prefers a light to medium moist soil in a protected semi shaded position. Drought and frost resistant.
Thank you Rose Herman. 🙂

Those berries are a lovely color – almost look like a form of cherry only purple to me. The cake got my mouth to watering – thank goodness you live across the ocean or I would weigh even more than I do! Yummy!
