You must have been 1/2 way on a loop? Dawn to Dusk and not bookends as the pictures suggest. Wow, you were able to see the ‘monument’ from both sides in the light of both sides of a day. Good for you.
Recently, while in ‘parts unknown’ I received a lift from man named Joe
Joe was 100% Navajo. He said, he got tired of living in the shadows of your butes 15 years back. Fearing his lungs would eventual fill with sand, he packed up and resettled in the Pacific North West. Joe was full of advise. And as he left me standing, ‘if you come a cross a bear on the trial, be sure not to shake it’s hand’.
