Bird Table, Knitting and Dalai Lama

22 Aug

1  This morning was such a delight at our bird feeders. The Goldfinches are back for their Nyger seeds, there was a family of Great Tits busily feeding at the fat balls and a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker came  to partake of the peanuts. I didn’t have my camera with me and didn’t want to fetch it for fear I would miss the activity.

2    Last night I finished off a hat and scarf that I have made for our Granddaughter who is to move from Senegal to Spain which she will find very cold this winter. I’ve just started a chunky cardigan for her, also in her favourite colour, red!

3   A friend quoted the Dalai Lama today when someone questioned what we each try to do, in our own small ways, to make the world a better place:

“If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito.”
