1 There are so many beautiful front gardens in Hayle, a mass of colour and scent to be treasured.
2 We stopped at Johnny’s Cafe for lunch and after some very tasty Kaffir Lime and Sweetcorn Fritters, I had the Flambé Cinnamon Banana with Ice-cream – delicious! If you are ever in Hayle, this is the place for a delicious meat-free meal. We aren’t vegetarians but we just love the food made freshly to order with locally sourced ingredients that is served here.
3 I found a lovely little notebook with a Chinese proverb on it that just seemed to suit me.

I was very relieved to read that your meal had bananas with ice cream. It looked very much as if you were eating sausage with ice cream! Great colours in those front gardens. Malc

Great pictures, and not only does the banana and ice cream sound delicious but I love the plate it is served on. Actually that dessert sounds perfect for the week we are having, hot and humid!!

I need to remember Johnny’s cafe in Hayle, I was there often, we once stayed in a train carriage for holidays there, it was fantastic. Hayle is a rather long viallage though and it used to have a big boot sale at the start of the village I recall.
The flowers are just beautiful!
