Weekly Photo Challenge: Treasure

I knitted this piece of treasure for an exhibition at Kensington Palace called The Enchanted Palace. It was staged by Wildworks, a Cornish theatre company, who were invited to cast a spell over the palace, creating a mysterious and atmospheric world for visitors to explore, and bringing the hidden stories of the historic royal residence dramatically to life. The Crown Jewels were knitted by various knitters and I was delighted to be invited to make The Orb.

Paper Chains, Pastel de Nata and Periwinkle

1   The Grandchildren have made paper chains to decorate their parents’ room for when they return today. They wanted them hung around this beautiful painting done by my very talented sister, Daisy, who lives in Hawaii.

2   A new coffee shop opened in Redruth a while ago and I’ve been meaning to call in. Today we did and had the most delicious freshly home baked Pastel de Nata in The Spot, Portuguese Cafe. We’ll be back!

3   On the way up from town we found some beautiful white Periwinkles which had been enticed out by yesterday’s sunshine but which were now drenched.
