Two Daughters, Exeter and Magic in the Skies

12 Oct

1   We met our two of our beautiful daughters for lunch in Exeter – what a pleasure to spend time with them both.

2   Exeter was full of delights.

3   There was a fabulous bright and double rainbow on our way to Exeter and on the way home the sunset skies were wonderful. All these sky photos were taken from a moving car so aren’t perfect quality. Click on any photo for a bigger version.

so many of the names of places you visit and where you live are the names of places in Canada–for a long time I did not realize you lived in the UK — as we have Cornwalls and Exeters etc

I really enjoyed your photos! #7 immediately made me think of Diagon Alley in Harry Potter lol. The chocolate cake looks like it’s delicious! I posted a Easy Red Devils Food chocolate cake recipe on my blog today if your interested!

Your images of Exeter once again bring back memories – great place. Those mosaics – if that’s what they are, are magnificent.

Ah, I recognised the Exeter photos! I lived there for around 10 years on and off and that scaffolding picture has been there quite a while. The old quarter around the Cathedral is beautiful isn’t it? I am glad the sun shone for you as I have heard from my mum that it’s been terribly wet down there this week.

You did well considering you were in a moving car — not driving, I assume. “Two of our beautiful daughters” … how many daughters (and sons) do you have? That cake is gorgeous, calling to me!

Not driving at this point! Nor for the scaffolding mural which Mr S has only seen on the photo.
We have three daughters and one son, Baby No 3 was a pair of twins, a girl and a boy!
      I resisted the cake!
      🙂
