Honesty, Leaves and Wild Fuchsia

I love how the sunlight came through the Honesty seed pods.

These fabulous red leaves were hanging over a fence on my walk today.

I also love the delicate Wild Fuchsia that grows in Cornish hedgerows.

Today’s Post, Visitors, Blackberries and A September Sky

Today’s post delighted me! Last Comic Relief I baked cakes to sell at The Suitcase Singers, one of the choirs I sing with, and sent off the money to the Charity. Today this card arrived for the choir – isn’t it a splendid way to encourage us to raise money for the next event too?

2    A couple of lovely choir friends called in today which was very much appreciated. They brought a lovely card from the Choir – thank you all – and a jar of M’s delicious homemade Blackcurrant Jam.

3  We have a few Blackberries in the garden!

4  It has been another beautiful day with the glorious special colour that is a cerulean September sky.

Cricket, Crinodendron and Creativity

Redruth Cricket Club

1   My Brother-in-law, who lives in Warsaw, is staying with us for a couple of weeks and had a wish to see an English Cricket match. We were lucky that the last match of the season was being played at home on the Cricket ground only minutes away from us. It was very relaxing watching the slow progress and pleasing to catch some of the action.

2   On the way home is a whole hedge of the beautiful Crinodendron Hookerianum. Our little bush is doing well but is still only a year old.   Crinodendron Hookerianum is a fascinating shrub that has on it buds, flowers and seed pods at all stages all at once.
