What a glorious leaf we saw on our walk round the block this damp afternoon.
I am teaching myself to crochet hearts. I am hoping to make heart key rings for Hearts Together, the Hospital Hotel who looked after me so well last month. They’ve put out a call for these little hearts to help raise money for the charity. I can crochet squares but following a pattern is a bit more of a challenge.
Any poem by Mary Oliver pleases me and this is no exception. I especially love the way she imagines how the trees might be feeling at this time of year and the description of the wind ‘pumping its bellows.’
