Maypole, Cake and Rocket

02 May

Today’s Redruth Market was lots of fun with the maypole dancing in the Buttermarket being done expertly.

They did a perfect job with the plaiting . . . as you did with the plating of that cake!

Funnily enough, the plating isn’t mine! Our neighbours always take the cake down to the market for me as they go down earlier than we do. On Friday evening, after it was collected, I realised that I hadn’t remembered to take a photo so K very kindly sent me one, and a much prettier setting than I would have given it!
Love your playing with words. 🙂

That looks like a lot of fun!
Are the dresses made of bandanas? They’re wonderful.

That’s an interesting comment. Looking more closely I think you are right. I hadn’t realised, just watched them swishing and being so careful to go under or over as they should. 🙂

So clever – everyone really has to concentrate on the movement they have to make next, over or under. It really worked well. 🙂
