Just before I took this photo, there were six bullfinches including two females at the feeders. What lovely colours they are.
Our sweetpeas are fabulous and share their scent all over the house.
There is a beautiful golden glow over the back garden as I write this tonight.

I have had to take my bird feeders down as a persistent rat has been roaming around beneath them, as this is close to the open back door we aren’t keen on it deciding to come indoors! A hazard of living next to a farm…

That’s a shame as the birds are such fun to watch. It’s a squirrel that is our naughty visitor! He is rather more charming than a rat! When we first came, rats were a problem but no longer, happily.
