On today’s walk, I was just taking a photo of a flower when this very lovely furry cat joined us and posed beautifully..
Later round the walk, we came around the Village Library in Carn Brea Village.
Regular readers may have spotted my delight when I harvested our Sweet Potatoes, all wriggly and not very many – but….. They make splendid Sweet Potato Chips!

Love the library!
What a great use for “retired” phone boxes.

Beautiful cat. Looks very much like our Benji.
My sweet potatoes which I have had partially residing in water have finally sprouted roots and shoots. I shall break off the shoots in due course and plant them out. Be a while before I get any ‘taters’ but that’s nature for you. All in her own good time!
Love the library!

So that’s how you treat sweet potatoes. We bought ours as two small plants. Now we know what to do for ourselves.
We love the library too. We have several old phone boxes roundabout used like that. Others have become the village notice board. 😊

There are loads of videos for growing sweet taters, but I’ll post a couple of photos showing what’s going
on with ours in the shed!

YouTube was going to be my next port of call after my first lesson with you. I’ll look forward to seeing your photos. 😊

Those sweet potatoes look good enough to eat 😃😉 Do you know anything about when to harvest Jerusalem artichokes?
