Yesterday was National Poetry Day and I missed it so here, again, is a poem that Brian Bilston once gave me permission to share with you. It seems appropriate still….
We’ve been walking about today and spotting blooms and other stuff, mainly tomatoes, in strangers’ front gardens.

They were in the gardens of North London where we had a few days with one of our daughters. 🙂

Cannas and Cosmos! Nice. We have the more orange coloured cannas. Some of the birds love them.
Planted out a few of my tomato seedlings this morning. Found some Black Krim tom. seeds a while back so it will be fun to see how they turn out.
On the Trump poetry theme…
Oh, Donald won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz,

I love this! Brilliant! Thank you. Sorry for the delay in replying. I’ve been taking it very easy and am being watched over well to stop me being as busy as I like to be!!
Cannas are such dramatic plants. We haven’t been that successful at home but seeing these in North London, as we had a few days with Daughter no 2, was lovely. They were at least 8ft tall!
I hope your tomatoes turn out well. I shall look forward to seeing photos in due course.
All the best to you. 🙂
