1 It was a beautiful clear night so just after midnight we went out into the garden, turning off the Light Tree, to look for the meteor shower. It was exciting to spot them, though only one at a time, not, for us, a shower! The lovely Mr S saw a green one but I missed it! 2 I’ve made a couple of dozen mince-pies this afternoon while listening to the final episode of ‘The Once and Future King’ on BBC R4.
3 As it becomes dark, our Light tree begins to make the garden glow.
