Stairs, Woodland Treasures and Sky

22 Feb

1. It’s such a delight to see how Grandbaby B has grown and developed since Christmas. She just loves climbing the stairs. She will be one in about seven weeks.

2. The new house is in woodland and going for a lovely walk is just there on the doorstep. We found Blackthorn blossom, beautiful bark, fungi on tree trunks and pine cones.

3 The sky has been blue all day and the shafts of sunlight through the trees quite beautiful highlighting the catkins and the branches.

Blackthorn blossom is so good to see – the first fruit blossom of each year.

Your posts always brighten my day. And a picture of a grandchild always increases that effect. 🙂

I always have this feeling that when i look at bark, I’m looking at something old and ancient, primordial. I loved that shot of the little one going up the stairs – a parable of life.

Next quest, Mount Everest. Maybe a gold medal slalom skier.

Big or small, everyone needs woods nearby to keep the colour in their cheeks. Best kind of treasure -the unburied kind.

More blue skies. Gran Baby B and blue skies, I suspect the smiles have returned.-nothing but blue skies do I see. We had our first blue sky in about month today. Never seen sunlight look so good.

It is magic living in the woods as L, T and Grandbaby B do. Tonight we went out on safari! We saw four Muntjack deer, three Roe Deer , a fox and lots of rabbits, sadly no Red Deer but L and T see them regularly. Still, one more day here so a chance yet…. 🙂
