3 A beautiful piece of commissioned art-work arrived in the post today, ‘Pankhurst Row’, made by Drawn to Stitch, a very talented artist whose work I saw a little while ago and fell in love with! The piece I saw was called Gardeners’ Row and when I asked if a similar piece could be made for me but with more purple and dark green, Suffragette colours, the answer was yes and it arrived today, so well packed and beautifully mounted. I am utterly delighted with it! Louise O’Hara is a mixed media artist from Cheshire, England who uses the name Drawn to Stitch and I adore her work. I always love checking out what beautiful things you post, but this one is especially lovely. I love the way the blue in all three of them brings it all together. Almost reminds me of summer! Now that’s an uplifting thought. 🙂

blue sky, lemon-sun buns, pictorial sketch in stitch in time all of which infused with child play….all blows the doors off the winter hum drums.
‘Pankhurst’, with the dangling gangly bits of mixed with the contrived, the fancy free and serendipity; all falling in and out of a whimsical landscape. A magical painting/sculpture -easy to fall for its charm. Thanks for sharing the artist’s link. The choice of the Suffragette colours, and the medium itself speaks to that movement.
