After a busy, busy morning, I spent the afternoon relaxing under a beautiful blue sky alternating between sewing up a tiny cardigan for our expected twin Grandbabies and reading. A Red Bottomed Bee was visiting the Cornflowers and the Courgettes have another flower. I have yet to cook a courgette flower…..
We saw something rare and beautiful this morning on the side of our dustbin – a newly emerged butterfly with its chrysalis right there beside it.
High pressure has brought us a glorious Autumn day today, warm enough to sit outdoors with Daughter No 1 who has arrived to help out for the next week. The sunlight pattern through the leaves was lovely enhanced by the last blue Cornflowers.
The sky has been the loveliest blue all day.
1 We are feeding next door’s cats for a couple of days and I was entranced by the ‘face’ in this beautiful orchid on their windowsill.

2 It has been the most beautiful day today and we have had our first lunch of the year in the garden. Tucked away in our little arbour the temperature reached 24C+! Outside it was 19C!
