Our Little Guest, Nigella and Clematis

30 Jul

Our little guest plays like a whirling dervish all morning and sleeps soundly all afternoon. Not sure what she does at night…….

The Love-in-a Mist is really lovely this year.

The Clematis over the arch is still blooming well

Love-in-a-mist is new to me. It’s gorgeous! So happy that you have a little kitty, even if it’s a temporary stay.

Sadly, it has been a very temporary stay as it became clear that she was not happy with being kept indoors. Her behaviour showed her to be very stressed after a contented and apparently happy start and so she was taken home this morning. We hear that she has been out in the garden almost all day so is happy again. . Love-in-a-Mist is also called Nigella and is lovely from its first pretty leaves, thorough flowers and splendid seed heads. 🙂

Aww, I’m sorry you had to give up your little guest. But I know how hard it is to have a kitty that wants to go out, when you’ve determined they’re not going to be an outside kitty. It feels like you’re depriving them of having a happy kitty life. Our three cats have never been outside, so they don’t make a fuss about it.

The real problem was that she is an outside cat but couldn’t be while she was with us in case she got lost or beaten up by a thuggish neighbour tabby or the visiting Bengal. 🙁
