Join Us On Our Valley Walk

06 May

Walking through a favourite valley down to the beach with no sound but bird song until we could hear the waves on the shingle was an absolute delight this afternoon. Join us…….

How I love that expression! I shall certainly use it in future, such a beautiful and calming sound. 🙂

      It’s a lovely one, always quiet. 🙂

Beautiful! The post box made me smile. Unusual to see a traditional post box in rural Cornwall; I’m more used to them set into walls.

Yes, such a surprise to come across a post box in what are, in effect, private gardens. It’s not used so maybe bought as one can sometimes buy a phone box. 🙂

Sally, now I am tired from this lovely walk. Is there tea and biscuits 🙂

That’s exactly what we wanted at the end – in fact we had been hoping for a Cornish Cream Tea! Sadly the hotel at the head of the valley is closed until May 17th so we will be going back then. 🙂

I don’t recognise this place? Where?

It’s behind The Meudon Hotel. I did a wedding there once and that was how we discovered it. We have stayed there for a treat on a couple of occasions, walked and had lunch or tea on others. It has just changed hands so it will be interesting to see how it develops. 🙂

Ah, yes. I have heard of the place. Be interesting to see what happens. A nice place for lunch I imagine.
