Despite the bitter wind, we walked up round the back today along a section of the Great Flat Lode (which isn’t flat) and were delighted to see so many violets in the hedgerows and the Bluebell buds beginning to colour up.
The views of the sea from the top are especially good on cold clear days like today.
The Gorse is gloriously yellow in the sunshine.

How far do you have to walk to catch that view of the sea et al?

About 20 minutes for us but we don’t walk quickly! 🙂

I am not a beach goer, but I would enjoy seeing that beautiful blue ocean from a distance.

It is lovely to see when on an inland walk on such a clear day. 🙂

They are really coming into their own now, big groups of them rather than the odd shy one hiding in the greenery. 🙂

Me too. The sun did feel warm yesterday but the air is still very cold and a field full of frost this morning. The sheep and their lambs are all gone, sadly.

Nothing says summer is on its way more than the toasted coconut scent of gorse.
