Robin, Castle and A Stream

20 Mar

We went to the Duchy Nursery today to collect a Clematis we have been looking for. We were serenaded by a delightful and very tame Robin.

After shopping, we walked through the woodland toward Restormel Castle.

Leaning over the river listening to the birds and the water was very peaceful. We met no-one on our walk.

There is something about listening to a running stream, a gentle rain that is so soothing and peaceful. Very relaxing and can put one to sleep.
But a dripping faucet can drive one crazy.

Glad you enjoyed the river sounds. Next time we’ll walk right up to the castle. 😊

Is it easy to get to the Duchy of Cornwall nursery? I was put off by narrow lanes, but would love to visit it.

The last part of the journey is narrow lanes, full of primroses now and bluebells later. There are lots of passing places but I also find it a bit hair raising! It is worth the drive. At the moment they are doing takeaway sandwiches, cakes and drinks – best chicken sandwich ever yesterday. 🙂

I shall bear that in mind. I’d like to visit and also the one near Bodmin which sells herbs.

I love the Bodmin one! Thank you for the reminder. 🙂

I think I need to go on a tour of Cornwall visiting the nurseries to see what they have to offer. I’d rather support local ones than the well know garden centre.

            In full agreement there! 🙂
