Leaves, Kit and New Glass Piece

26 May

Leaves from our edible garden were on our lunch plates today.

We were next door for supper this evening when one of the children announced, “There’s a baby rabbit in the sitting room!” Β It was rescued and taken out to the back field and five minutes later the same announcement was made. Another smaller one had joined us! Β It, too, is now back in the field.

I can show you my latest glass piece now as this evening it was collectedly by those for whom it was made. Their favourite colours are pink and purple and they just celebrated their 30th Wedding Anniversary (pearl) so……..

That is a very pretty glass piece, I bet they were thrilled with it. As for the bunnies, how on earth did you catch them? I spent a couple of hours chasing one around the garden last year! But I did rescue a baby sparrow that had somehow managed to fall down my chimney flue – goodness knows how as it has a cowl on top! Poor thing was fluttering madly in the wood burner!

They were! I didn’t try to catch the babies, Sue caught them, seemingly quite easily! Poor little Sparrow! Poor creature landing in the wood burner, so contained – but I suppose that made it easier to rescue it. πŸ™‚

Beautiful craftsmanship. However, my daughter will NOT be shown this post. Too much ”cute” for one evening, thank you!
