A friend dug up these beautiful potatoes today.
I finished a new head-band for our Littlest Live-wire just in time for her return tonight. She and her Mum will be here for Father’s day in the morning – a very welcome distraction just now.
I baked a Focaccia to go with our colourful Chicken, Peppers and Butter-bean stew for tonight’s dinner.

It’s a bit hairy here at the moment! I need my left hip doing and Mr S now needs a new knee. He has developed a DVT while resting so now it’s all a bit worrying. Stiil, we are smiling ! π

Now that’s the colour Red! The only thing better than new potatoes freshly dug is……….well nothing is better. And am not alone. When new crop baby tatters start showing up at farm gate stands, the early prices are that of gold bullion; in the cities it seems they’re raised to cult status. But when you know the soil from which cometh, dug them, washed and eaten in the hour -they nourish the soul and makes one humble.
Focaccia glamour shot, it look so good almost a shame to be eaten. Note: almost.
If one could encapsulate the aroma of fresh baked bread, it would make one wealthy. Imagine waking up in the morning, sluggish and half asleep. To shuffle to the kitchen counter and pop open a capsule. Coffee sales would plummet.
A perfect band for a perfect head.

Your focaccia looks too delicious for words, and I love the OCD rosemary placement. π
