Colours, Cabinet of Cornish Curiosities and Clematis

24 Aug

1    One of my favourite shops in Truro, the fabric shop, also delighted J who loved all the coloured ribbons.

2   The Wildworks’ Cabinet of Cornish Curiosities is still in the Museum in Truro and T loved opening the drawers to find what was inside. Her favourite was the drawer with all the coloured plastic pieces found on Cornish beaches.

Liking the colours

Loving opening the drawers

3   The delicacy of the Clematis shows well in the light of dusk.

It reminds me of the lego shop in Copenhagen with tubes and tubes of different coloured bricks, or sorting through my button collection. Beautiful.

spools of coloured thread is the stufffs which has gotten me some questioning glances from sales clerks in the past……even burly curmudgeons have a soft side for colour and fine thread, one does not have sew to appreciate..

The cornish cabinets have piqued my interest ever since you first introduced them here. One these days, when I move to ocean am doing my own version.

Great first photo there, the colours are great and the child’s head finishes off the photo so well.

Love the ribbons … and the clematis! We used to have a gorgeous, huge vine, but a hurricane took down its pole and crushed it. I miss it.
