Drawing, Baby Rabbit and A Horse

07 Jun

1   I saw this the other day and thought, how perfect!

The world is pretty....

The world is pretty….

2   This morning we spotted a baby rabbit in the garden. Baby rabbits are called kits I learned recently. Fortunately, he was eating the dock leaves and not my flowers!

3   I love it when the horses in the back field come right down to our wall and I can hear them munching and neighing and whinnying together.

Just proves simplicity gets to the heart of the matter. Thank you for sharing three beautiful pictures with us.

Lovely to see a real live bunny again. We used to have bunnies, but then came the bobcats and no more bunnies. For that matter, very few squirrels and a lot fewer chipmunks. Bobcats really reduce the population.

Love what the child wrote – no truer words should be remembered.

The child’s drawing is beautiful and I love the sentiment.

First image -dang if those words don’t sum it up -‘From the mouth of babes’,. Years ago I had a network neighbourhood I created online and actually owned but since given up, the domain ‘quietliving’. So I could not agree more with your choice to share this young artist’s masterpiece. If only this was the worlds’ modus operandi.

Second image -reminds me, my peas are just getting to right size when our little cottontails will eye them as succulent morsels for fine dinning. The little suckers can mow down a strip of peas in a night. This year I didn’t put up a fence, relying on them to show some restraint – I know, am foolish to think this.

It is good to have horses live close, they’re great characters to watch, with endless spirit if given the space to show it off. By the way, when I was a boy (seems a century ago) I was part of a Mounted Boy Scout troop. The only other mounted troop in North America, as far as I know, was in North Carolina in the United States. Scouting jamborees were interesting as we showed up with horses. Now, I enjoy looking at them, but that’s about it.
