Flags, Fabric and A Fabulous Cake

25 Mar

1   There are three of these fluttering flags outside a local school. What a lovely thing.

2    I couldn’t resist a visit to my favourite shop, full of wonderful fabrics. I love the way some of the colours are echoed in the calculator.

3    KJ sent me photos of Grand-baby T’s 2nd Birthday Cake and I thought you might like to see it. Isn’t it beautiful, inside and out?!

Knowing KJ, my daughter, it would have tasted good too! Pity I didn’t get to taste any but they are in London and we are in Cornwall 🙂

What a colorful post! I especially love the flag. Do you know if the school children made them?

I always love looking at packages of fat quarters.. they almost inspire me to make another quilt. I like the way that they match the buttons on the calculator – nice coincidence.

Thank you for the info that they are called ‘fat quarters’! I love the name but why are they so called?
I was pleased by the serendipity of the matching colours too. 🙂

I only bought some dark green fleece to back a pram blanket for L’s baby due in 3 weeks. I just love being in the shop being surrounded by all those glorious fabrics. 🙂

Off to the charity shops now to seek out silk ties! 🙂

The rolls of material look like flowers. I don’t know how you color coordinate all your displays….but you do.
Thanks for sharing the cake. I think..
At least I am drinking a coffee while looking. 🙂
