Lily of the Valley, Copper Sculpture and ‘The Giant’

31 Mar

1    The Lily-of-the -Valley that I planted last week in Kath’s memory are putting up shoots already. If you look really closely top right of the photo, you can even see tiny flower buds.

2   I love this small copper sculpture, ‘The Lost Ball’,  made by the very talented artist Jeremy Beswick.    It is one of several of his that we have and I love them all.

3    I went next door with some Nutella meringues (they were so light, the wind nearly blew them off the plate!) and in exchange had ‘The Giant’ signed by the sculptors who just happen to be our lovely neighbours.

Thanks for letting me camp out in your blog this morning. I had a great time and tried to leave my campsite as clean as when I arrived.

Thank you so much for spending so much time ‘camping out’ in my blog this morning, for all your likes of so many post and your lovely comments. KJ will be delighted to hear how you like her Caterpillar Cake!
You are welcome to camp out any time you like! 🙂

How lucky for you to have the authors of “The Giant” living right next door! And I have to tell you, one of my favorite things to do is ‘plant’ something for someone. My tendency is to plant trees (pine) but I’ve been known to plant roses and specific flowers for someone special. I think that is a wonderful way to remember someone–a living gift. xoxo

Indeed we are lucky, Jeannie! They are lovely people too as you may have guessed! I think of my Mum whenever I pick herbs, especially the rosemary and the purple sage, from my garden to use as she grew them too and taught me to cook.
