David Hockney, The National Gallery and Smoked Haddock Chowder

1  Went to the Hockney exhibition at The Royal Academy this morning – absolutely fabulous! Mesmerising use of colour and so evocative of the environment.

2  From there to The National Gallery where I discovered a new artist, Elizabeth Louise Vigee Le Brun and her painting of a girl with her knitting – Mademoiselle Brongniart – quite delightful.

3  KJ made a delicious evening meal using a Simon Rimmer recipe for Smoked haddock chowder which was loved by all including both children.
