Lullaby, Miss Peapod’s Cafe and Winnie the Pooh

1 Singing was lovely this morning, only one choir baby with us today and at 17 months she is a delight! We started with an African lullaby ‘Mwena La La’ which sounds so beautiful as a round.

2 After singing we go downstairs to Miss Peapod’s cafe for coffee and catching up. There is a charming new piece of artwork on the wall, a beautiful collage of a pea-pod made by a local artist, Penny MacBeth.

3 I don’t know why this particular Winnie the Poohism came into my head today, but as an English teacher, I had a small poster of it up in my classroom to encourage all wobbly spellers!
“My spelling is Wobbly. It’s good spelling but it Wobbles, and the letters get in the wrong places.”

Grandchildren, Rose and Playing in the Park

1. Playing ‘Row, row, row your boat’ with our 18month old Granddaughter. Watching ‘ Winnie the Pooh’ with our Grandson who is, “Not three! Three and three quarters, Granny!”

2. Beautiful rose in a garden on the way to the park.

3. Playing in the park with both children, Pooh sticks and Gruffalo hunting, having ice creams and hot chocolate – exhausting but fun!
