Photographs, A Good Read and A Poem

I have been given two beautiful little framed photographs of a Fritillary and Poppy.  They are by a local artist, Paul Sanders who has a studio at Krowji..

Today i have finished a jolly good read, a thriller by Ann Cleeves that I have been lent by a fellow reader. It’s the latest in the series spreviously et in the Shetland Isles, but this time on Orkney and featuring the detective Jimmy Perez. So many twists and turns, the final outcome took me completely by surprise. I love the characters and the setting just comes alive.

Thanks H. xx

The poem for the day in one of my books made me think of my Suffragette Great Granny. It’s by Nikita Gill

Freesias and A Poem

The Mother’s Day freesias are filling the room with their perfume.

This poem touched a nerve in me. I hope it works the same magic in you.

Post Box, New Word and Stardust

Knitters and crocheters around Britain make post box toppers to mark all sorts of occasions. I really love this one photographed in Cornwall (not by me) showing the care of Cornwall for Ukraine. .

A new word came my way. I think it’s very descriptive, a word that is ‘ripe for revival!’.

I am enchanted by the thought that each of us is 93% stardust!.

Be Brave, Day Lily and Love For Our World

Be the kind of person

Thank you for those words, Nikita Gill.

The Day Lilies are very lovely, a new one every day.DSCN3308

There are terrible acts of violence happening all over the world and today it has all come a little nearer to home as we have family in Munich. We have heard that most of them are safe and await news of the others. (Just heard that they are safe too.)  My heart hurts every time we hear of such attacks and hear the news from war torn areas and of the plight of the refugees. We need more love in our world. I try to be the kind of person who spreads love. Take care, all my dear Readers.
