I’m revamping my herb garden as the plants have gotten rather woody and less than perfect for cooking with. I’ll fill the gaps with some Lobelia for the summertime.
Our coal-house, which hasn’t seen coal in many years and has been a store shed, is now full of the kit needed by the installers of our solar panels on Monday.

I pulled out all my sage last year as it had become very woody and tbh I don’t really use sage in cooking. The parsley I planted has now gone to seed, so I shall wait and see if any self-seeds before buying more. Really I grow herbs for the pollinators more than for the kitchen, though parsley and mint are very useful for tabbouleh.

The bees love the thyme and sage flowers. In fact only use sage at Christmas for the stuffing. I just like to have lots of herbs as my Mum did. It’s sort of an homage to her. 🙂
