Soup, Topper and Pollinators

11 Aug

We had the most delicious soup for lunch today, Red Pepper soup, brought to us by dear friends.

Red Pepper Soup. Thanks M x

Exercise for Mr S now includes a short walk along our road to the post box where there was a delightful new topper of ice creams and ice lollies.

I’ve been talking with a fellow blogger about the lack of butterflies this summer but we do have some pollinators.

So glad to hear the Mr. S is up on his feet and able to walk down the street. And, yes, that soup looks delish!

Thank you, he’s managed that short walk each day and is aiming to go further tomorrow.
I’ll be asking for the recipe for that soup! 🙂

Hi Sally, hope Mr S is feeling better and recovering well.
As you know I live in the North East, we’ve had loads of butterflies and beeds. My grandson loves to watch them.
    Take care Love Judith xx

Thank you, he is. I’m so glad to hear that you have lots of butterflies in the North East. Despite having plenty of plants that butterflies should like we have only had the whites. One of my blogger friends, also in Cornwall, hasn’t seen very many this year. It’s good to hear that there are plenty about.
Love to you, Sally xx. 🙂

Love that topper. 😋👌 We had this year more butterflies than ever, I do have different plants this year too. And so many different butterflies too.
I did hear that Kew gardens had a record butterfly year.
They all came up north for a change and not in your garden 😔 sadly.

You in the South East and Judith in the North East, Kew Gardens too – I am delighted to hear that you all have plenty of a variety of butterflies. Despite our planting which I thought would be good for butterflies, we only have the whites and they’ve eaten all our brassicas!
I do love a good topper, especially the simple and very effective ones. 🙂
