Fungus, Lunch and Harvest

20 Sep

Loved this very delicate fungus growing at Community Roots on Volunteer Tuesday. I have tried to identify it but had no luck.

Lunch was a delicious spread of salads all picked from the gardens.

The squash harvest is wonderful! This is just half of it.

I’d agree that it looks like a Hare’s Foot Inkcap which apparently only lasts a few hours before dissolving into a black ink – a process called deliquescence.

Love the info re deliquescence. It’s a pity I didn’t know to keep an eye on it to see the process. 🙂
