Raindrops, Clematis and Horse

19 Nov

The pattern of raindrops on the Californian poppy leaves caught the light today.

Our winter flowering and evergreen clematis is flowering now.

We have new neighbours in the field behind our garden – three horses. This one looked up at me as I opened the camera.

Winter flowering clematis seem such a special treat when they flower and there are lots of them around now. Our Freckles flowered all year this year and wore itself out!
One of my garden talks is about foliage and I have a section on foliage that catches rain drops – there are so many!

I’d love to see your talk. Is it on YouTube? I love how some leaves collect rain, especially Lupins and would seek out more if I knew which they are.
Winter flowering anything a treat! 🙂

Beautiful photos. Love the clematis! (And the horse, because he looks a bit sad and I’m a sucker for sad animals) 😘

He does doesn’t he? Perhaps it was just him settling in. They only arrived a week ago. Today he has been galloping up and down, thundering past our back garden as if he were racing! 🙂
