Walk, Waves and A Jay

14 Nov

Daughter No 1 came to visit for the day which was a real treat! Despite the mizzle we walked along the cliffs at Godrevy where the lighthouse (just right of centre in the first photo) was all but invisible in the low cloud and the waves crashed against the rocks so that we could scarcely hear each other speak.

A jay visited our garden today, a most unusual visitor, picking up the seeds from under the bird feeder. We couldn’t get a better shot but you can see just the characteristic flash of blue.

There is that word again, ‘mizzle’.

Am more worried about the safety of the gent on the right hand edge of the picture.

So was I! I included him to show the height of the waves but I did think he was being rather reckless.

Yes, we don’t see Jays often around here at all and never before in our garden. 🙂
