I recently heard of a woodland that we had not known about. Join us for a stroll around this lovely place. Click on any photo to see more detail.
I took the following from the Facebook page. “A great placemaking project successfully completed at Tregoniggie Woodland. We monolithed a clump of collapsing Lawsons Cypress and commissioned local sculptor Felix Packer to carve and paint these amazing columns. The iconic images reflect features of Falmouth and conversations with passers-by. We have also planted a ring of flowering native trees which will still form this circular meeting point in the future when the sculptures have decayed. Thanks to Cornwall Council, Cornwall Wildlife Trust, Persimmon homes and other sponsors. We would like to carve some of the lower remaining trunks as seats and informal natural play structures, and create an accessible path through the circle.” Words by Tim Kellet.
