Cathedral, Flowers and Jam

09 Aug

Here you have a glimpse of Truro Cathedral from Cathedral Lane where the hanging baskets are glorious .

The hard working gardening team in Truro have filled the city with flowers in baskets, tubs and up lampposts, all beautifully tended and full of scented petunias. Here they are seen against the beautiful buildings on Lemon Street..

We had too many blueberries and they needed using up so I made some scrumptious Blueberry jam, just four little jars.

Enjoying the photos of Truro. Hope to see it in person again before too long.

    Your jam looks great!

My mom used to make jam ~ all kinds, including orange marmalade and peach chutney. I’ve only ever made pineapple chutney, green tomato relish, and onion relish for hotdogs. All kept in the fridge and used quickly, not waiting on a pantry shelf for a winter’s respite.

We are using the Blueberry jam up really quickly! I don’t think it will last until winter. I’d love to make peach chutney but they don’t really ever get cheap enough here, sadly.
