Yesterday’s walk offered so many photo opportunities. Here is the lovely front door of the Manor House.
I just love this lichen covered bench set on a rather precarious slope.
Much of today has been damp and mizzly so I spent my time making ClothKitty another set of clothes – a skirt (which was cut out many years ago) and finished off a rather natty waistcoat (I had done the binding but not been able to find the time to finish it 40+ years ago with four little ones to look after.)

The doll looks so bright and ready for summer. I love that strawberry outfit. Really beautiful.

The bench is beautiful! We have one by our front door at a similar angle! When I was about 12 I had a phase of sewing ragdolls; I still have one of them. Was cloth kitty originally a kit or did you create her from a pattern? Either way, she’s lovely! She’s so cheery!

She came from a company called ClothKits. I made lots of clothes for my children from them and made ClothKitty too. The material came printed with the pattern in many sizes, with detailed instructions and all the haberdashery you would need for the piece. I loved making them and the kids loved them too. 🙂

I thought she may be from Cloth Kits. I remember the company well – and the bright and unique clothing kits they created 😊

Love the doll’s dress!
I want to scrub all the lichen off that bench so that the wood reappears. 😀

Oh, I love the lichen! That’s what made it special for me though it might be interesting to see what the wood was/is. 🙂
