I will pass up the bakery but wouldn’t mind a pint of Doom Bar.

Bakery for me any day over any beer! Not a beer fan but I am told that for beer lovers, this is a gem! 🙂

That sunrise is exceptional. Were you staying at the Old Coastguard Inn then?

Yes, just a two night stay and it’s just about perfect! :0

And did you find the village to be very quiet?

We did but the dining room was as busy as social distancing allows. Saw just one runner and one dog walker on our stroll around. 🙂

    Lovely collage.
Oddly enough, the agapanthus are beginning to bloom down here, too! And it’s summer.

It’s very unusual to see them in winter here. Those two are surrounded by old seed heads. It is a particularly mild climate in this part of Cornwall, Penzance and Mount’s Bay, but we were very surprised to see the Agapanthus. In our garden, they flower in summer as with you. 🙂

Do you have the white variety over there as well?
I may have mentioned before they are indigenous to South Africa but found there way to Europe in the 17th century(?)

The first time I saw them overseas was during a visit to Portugal in the eighties when we passed a traffic island outside Porto that was covered in blue agapanthus.
Made me feel a bit ”homesick”; if one can feel homesick in a foreign country about another country one is a foreigner in!:)

We do. We have some in our garden. I bet they bloom in big numbers in South Africa. I like that seeing them in a foreign country made you feel homesick for your adopted country! 🙂

Strange to see them in flower in the winter-time here. 🙂
