We went to Porthtowan for supper and the sunset again tonight. We are so lucky to be able to do this! The sunset was glorious as the sun slipped into the sea. Outside the Blue Bar is a Kniphofia, a Red Hot Poker, that has grown in the strangest way and there are some dramatic seed-heads which looked good against the sunset sky.

If you hadn’t said the kniphofia was real I would have taken it for a wonderful piece of sculpture.
