Autumn in the Air, Callianthus and A Visit

05 Sep

There is a definite Autumnal chill in the air today as I discovered on my foray into the garden. There are still lots of flowers in bloom and I was delighted to see the Japanese Anemones catching the sunlight.

The Agapanthus are still regally gorgeous, such a rich dark blue and looking good with the burgundy blotched white Callianthus in the foreground and orange and deep magenta of other blooms behind them.

Another good friend called in this afternoon bringing with her the last of her beautiful Sweet peas the scent of which is filling the room as I write. She also brought some delicious freshly baked Cheese scones. We had a lovely hour laughing and putting the world to rights!

Cheese scones, sweet peas, and solving the worlds’ problems – now that’s a good visit. 🙂

Gorgeous photos, I walked through the garden today as well and was amazed by how much is still blooming; it does make the day so special.
