Friendship Stop, Tooth Fairy and Ballet Cardigan

27 Jun

1   After school today it was the Summer fair and we saw a different part of the school. I was very taken with this sign in the playground which I am told is where someone goes if they are feeling a bit lonely and they need a friend to play with. In moments, they are spotted and someone comes along to offer friendship. What a lovely warm thing to encourage and with lovely drawings which reflect the multicultural nature of this primary school where 48 languages are spoken!

2    J has lost his first baby tooth today and has put it into a little box for the tooth fairy to find! We are baby sitting for the weekend as Mum and Dad are away and we are not sure of the family routine for such an event! 20p? 50p? Anyone any ideas?

3   I have been knitting a Ballet cardigan for Grand-baby T since I finished my Wool Against Weapons knitting and have managed to sew it up this evening just in time for tomorrow’s ballet lesson. I hope it fits!

I gave $1.00 for the first…$2.00 for the second…and so on…When $10.00 was reached the Tooth Fairy didn’t come anymore…due to having so many other children to look after!
Loved the pink sweater and sign…what a lovely idea…

The friendship stop is a great idea for schools, I’ll pass it around to teachers. For the tooth fairy, why not be original and leave a little gift, and I love the ballet cardigan. Lucky granddaughter!

We left £1 but also a little note from the Tooth Fairy praising J for the beauty of his little tooth and for how well he is looking after his teeth. We had no notice of the event or a little gift would have been a lovely idea. Thanks. 🙂

The note was a great idea! 🙂 I always think it’s wonderful to get a present you can keep, so it’s meaningful. Money just ‘goes’…

Thank you! That’s what we decided on so I hope it’s okay with Mum and Dad! 🙂
