1 I was up long before the rest of the house this morning and, inspired by one of HH’s poems, went out to photograph the garden at 6 am with the early morning sun giving everything a special glow.

2 We’ve been on the water for six hours today, Day 2 of our RYA Level 2 Sailing Course, and learned so much our brains are spinning! The views were spectacular!

3 At lunchtime we sat in the little park that surrounds the Killigrew Monument about which you can find some entertaining history here. The whole place is smothered in beautiful climbing roses and smells quite delicious. At the end of the day, Gyllyngvase Beach and the water were full of happy people.

Same sediments as Colline above – a full day, from the beginning of first light onwards into the day -nothing but life affirming glorious sunshine. The first image I envision is out of Africa -not the Dark Continent but rather a similar sublime slightly untamed space.
I had already zoomed in on the misty dewy feather before I read your suggestion to do so – from a feather to fairy tale world just like that. Make me wonder, just how much slips by us without us saying hello to.

The sailing – how different a feeling when upon it, then looking at from on land -freeing.
The rose wall, fantastic. My climbing rose bush which gave 500 plus plus blooms the last few years was winter killed back to root stock -now it is about starting over. Growing roses in this country is often heart breaking; many give up after having their heart broke too many times. That said the west and east coast is where Roses thrive, but England wins hands down.
Your Atlantic water must be warmer than Atlantic Canada evident in the people in the water. In comparison I checked on the net for the temperature of the surface at the favourable Lawrencetown beach just north of Halifax – which was 10.6°C or 51°F today at low tide. Actually the surface temp on the Great Lakes is the same even cooler on Lake Superior.

For myself, I will be glad when the time comes that I may enjoy every day for what it is and offers, instead of a slot of time to make it through to the end of it.

Beautiful shots. My favourite is of the cosmos. No, the one of the cormorant. Or maybe the one of the roses on the path. Loved them all – too difficult to choose a favourite 🙂
