1 Looking out from the Zed Shed where we were singing this morning, I noticed a Shag sunning himself on a dinghy in the estuary. He stayed there for over an hour!
2 Our first tiny wild strawberries are suddenly ready and they are so, so sweet!
3 I love the colour combination, quite serendipitous really, of the very dark Chocolate Cosmos (which really does smell of chocolate) with the violet blue of the Johnson’s Blue Geranium and the white and green of the daisies.

I thought a shag was a dance or a hair cut.

As well as a bird, like a cormorant, it has a more rude meaning too so my title on this post had a double entendre that raised a few eyebrows! 🙂

I think you’ll find the shag’s a juvenile cormorant!

Now that’s funny! I thought it was a Cormorant but John said it was a shag so I thought he must be right! 🙂

I have to admit, the shag on a boat caught my eye, 🙂 I hadn’t heard of a bird called a shag before.

I was wondering if it would amuse others as it did me to write that title! 🙂

Years ago, 32 I believe, my sweet wife and I were walking about a meadow in northern Illinois. We came across a wild strawberry patch. We ate a bunch on the spot. Then, went home and returned with a BIG bowl, filled it, and took them home to freeze.
How tasty. Thank you for reminding me of that memory.

Very glad I could remind you of that lovely memory. Wish we had enough for a bowl-full – I think there are just 8 so far! 🙂
